BRYNIEL: THE LAST TALE, a spin-off Warrior Cats roleplay following the events of Bryniel.
Five years ago, a terrible fate was bestowed on the forest clans. Their own greed drove them to the ground, and they blindly watched as they destroyed the things they loved out of spite. What was left of their territory was painted in blood and regret. For the years that followed, those unlucky enough to survive were haunted with the memories. Throughout the five years, human development drove the remaining descendants and survivors towards harsh territory; the cursed highlands.
Old wise tales tell of haunting story of three forsaken souls that were cast out of the limits of StarClan, and for decades their fury manifested into great strength. A force so mighty they could rip the stars from the sky; and so they did. On the dawn of the summer solstice, the sun never rose and the moon was nowhere in sight. The stars lost their light and the sky turned to darkness. Some say it lasted days, others argue it felt like weeks.
When the survivors and descendants had reached desperation, a voice spoke to them and lured them to the highest peak of the mountain. Two voices gave an offering to the hopeless cats. "Offer us your loyalty, promise your blood to the sun and to the moon, and tomorrow dawn will rise." And so one of the biggest mistakes was made that day. Desperate and starved, they accepted the offer. As promised, dawn came and the sun rose on the next day. SunClan and MoonClan were formed and took up residence on the mountains, but mystery began lingering in the air. For to this day, over a season later, the unknown voices had never been heard from again, creating an overflow of tension and uncertainty.
But a price would be paid, and a promise would be kept.

SunClan Camp

Sunclan Camp is a grassy clearing hidden by the side of the mountain, its sides sheltered by large sunbaked stones that keep strangers away. From these smooth rocks a small waterfall flows down gently into the clearing; behind the thin sheet of translucent water are the Den entrances, cozy caverns carved inside the stone. The waterfall trickles into a slow stream that forms a ring around the grassy clearing, giving the Camp shape and shimmering prettily at noon. As the day ends, Sunclan Camp keeps the dark at bay with glowing Fireflowers and fireflies that fly about the area, making the ankle-deep waters light up merrily even at dusk. The Camp's main entrance is a bridge of sorts; a large wooden trunk that connects the clearing with the fields below and goes over sharp rocks and trickling water.
The Leader of Sunclan relays announcements from the Tallstone, a rock jutting out through the waterfall's gentle waters. The dens carved into the stone are mostly of equal size, with the Nursery and Medicine Cat's den being the largest; the latter has a main area for patients, with a smaller cave off to the side for the Medicine Cat's private sleeping quarters. The Leader's den has a similar layout, with a main council room and a more private chamber off to the side. Sunclan's dens of sunbaked stone stay cozy even in winter, leeching off all they can of the sun's warmth and storing it inside. Cats decorate their rooms with fireflowers, feathers and tallgrass. |

The great expanse of SunClan territory is made up of bright fields and open meadows, with one of the mountain's richest forest areas to offer prey, herbs and relaxation. Both lean runners and thoughtful trackers feel at home in these parts, where color is abundant and resources are never scarce. The heat is not an issue, as the sunlit territory is connected by the same running waters — sometimes a trickling stream where kittens play, other times a rushing river, these sun-blessed waterlines keep the clanners fresh, as well as offering prey of a more scaly kind. One should always be mindful of enemies, as foxes, raccoons and eagles lurk nearby, but under the Sun's watchful eye the clanners are sure to thrive in this new territory.

MoonClan Camp

MoonClan territory has overarching canopies of woven branches that shield out the sunlight and is used as a guide toward the MoonClan camp. A well-worn path is your first indicator, followed by thinner, shorter and lower level canopies that form almost a dense tunnel towards the primary entrance to camp. Inside, the camp is more spacious than the narrower tunnel and entrance perceives, with enough space to mount dens for every rank; exception of leader. Moonclan’s leader den is actually in a hollowed out tree, one of many that circle the area and is large enough for them to rest and discuss important matters in.
MoonClan's leader will make their announcements from the Highstump, and prey is usually deposited in a pile off to the side of camp. Warriors have the largest den and are stationed closest to the entrance. Apprentices have the third largest den and are directly across from the warriors, with the nursery and elders den on either side of them; the nursery being the second largest den. The medicine cat den is closest to the tree the leader sleeps in and is spacious enough to have patients as well as a separate sleep area for themselves. |

The vast majority of MoonClan territory is made up of swaths of woodland. With thick and intertwining branches overhead, the territory is naturally darker and cooler with the sunlight coming down during the day in scattered bands of sunshine. While not as dense with undergrowth as old ThunderClan, there’s still enough shrubbery, the occasional jabs of boulder dens and — towards the lake — sticky mud that provides more of a swampy environment. Badgers and foxes are the common enemies here, making nests, scouring for food, while owls tend to frequent the air above, utilizing gaps in the canopy to swoop down on the unsuspecting mouse or cat. By nightfall the territory is much darker, though navigational for MoonClanners as the darkness is never permanent. Once you hit the starlit forest, you’re greeted by light. Otherwise, you can follow one of the many streams that cut through to haunted lake and enjoy not only an easier stretch to walk through but more freedom to see.
